The recent suicides of Lorna Breen, a New York doctor of emergency medicine and Bronx EMT John Mondello have drawn attention to the emotional impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on healthcare workers. Hopefully their deaths do not portend a mental health crisis for the healthcare workers who provided care during the worst of the outbreak. Free support group services for nurses during the NYC COVID-19 outbreak

UPDATE, OCTOBER 2020: The nurses’ support group is currently suspended due to the improvement in statewide COVID control efforts. Should that change this group may re-start.

The current health crisis in NYC is testing hospital healthcare providers like never before. During the COVID-19 crisis, the Manhattan Center for Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy is offering free support group services specifically for nurses in the New York City area whose work has been affected by COVID-19.
